I have been eagerly awaiting the series premiere of The No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency, based on the best-selling novels by Alexandre McCall Smith. I love those books. And the first show did not disappoint. Jill Scott and Anika Noni Rose did an excellent job of bringing their characters to life. As if the scenery and the story line were not enough we had the pleasure of seeing Mr. Idris Elba share a scene. Surprise, surprise.
