What I love most about this season is all of the great film and theatre treats I get to feast my eyes on. Having said that, I cannot wait to see the cinematic decadence that is Nine. While I prefer to see musicals on stage, I will definitely purchase a ticket for this one. The leading ladies of Nine were featured on the November cover of Vogue. They also dropped by to chat with Oprah last week along with leading man, Daniel Day Lewis who plays Guido Contini-an Italian filmmaker. Check out the trailer below. Nine opens December 25.
I’ll also have to add Fela! to my calendar. Will and Jada along with rapper Jay-Z have signed on as producers and attended last Monday’s opening. This story features the music of the revolutionary Fela Anikulapo-Kuti. Fela! is choreographed by Tony Award winner Bill T. Jones. I have a feeling this is going to be good.
