Regina King Covers Essence

Regina King February Issue of Essence
Regina King February Issue of Essence

Now this is a cover photo that got my attention.  Regina King graces the February issue of Essence magazine.  This would happen just as my subscription runs out.  Well, I’ll be heading to the newsstands.  Kudos to Essence!  Regina King is one of my favorite actresses and Hollywood’s, too.  The cover refers to her as Hollywood’s go-to girl and that is nothing short of the truth.  If you’re wondering what King has done lately, well she is starring on the TNT cop drama, Southland. Let’s not forget that she also voiced characters for The Boondocks and has a string of hit movies under her belt: Ray, Enemy of The State, Jerry McGuire, Miss Congeniality 2, Our Family Wedding and the list continues.

The cover look is great.  The dramatic smokey-eye is plays up her hazel eyes.  And if Regina King doesn’t inspire you to keep up with those New Year’s Eve promises to stick with the gym, I don’t know what will. I’m going to work out right after this post.

In case you missed it, last night King alongside Jackeé Harry, her costar from the ’80’s TV show 227, appeared on Bravo TV’s Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen to discuss the Real Housewives of Atlanta.  Not only did King look stunning in an off the shoulder, royal blue dress, but hilarity ensued. Take a peak.
