Welcome, Back!

The first week of January has to be the most collectively positive time of the year. Everybody is so hopeful, cheerful and contemplative about all the positive changes they’re going to make in their life.  Resolutions, intentions (I don’t really like that one), even decisions all made with the idea to do something different .

I’m not getting caught in the flurry. I don’t believe you adopt a healthy lifestyle, kick an old habit, change your spending habits or float your baggage, because a ball dropped, a calendar flipped and you made a declaration.  It’s a process.  I think that’s why some people get frustrated and give up so quickly.  Some days you’ll get it right, some days you’ll mess it up.  But if you stick with the process, you’ll get there.  That’s just my take on it.  And so with that said, my goal is to not take a day off from reaching for my goals.  I’m realistic enough to admit, I may take a break, but an entire day off…Nope! #NDO – No Days Off.

So while everyone is swearing to never eat a second helping or quit retail therapy (all great “intentions”, mind you), I’ve added some glam goals to my list. I’d encourage you to do the same.  Glam goals are your gift to yourself.  Your style and image are just as important as the other areas of your life.  Here goes:

  1. Get reacquainted with cheap lipstick. Some of the best shades are in drug stores.
  2. Give CND’s Shellac a second chance.  The first time was more like she-wack!
  3. I’m setting out on a quest for the ultimate bubble bath
  4. Conquer the smokey eye once and for all
  5. Fall in love with earrings again. (yeah, I’m a little jaded)

Trust me, this list will grow as the year goes on.  But this is it for now. Tell me what your new glam goals are for this year.   Oh, and speaking of new, what do you think of the new look? I’m feeling a big ‘ole, “How You like me now?”
