Lancome Hypnose Doll Lash Review + Gift Alert

Lancome Hypnose Doll Lash
Lancome Hypnose Doll Lash

Lancome has new products on the shelves this month.  Where do I begin?  Being the mascara connoisseur that I am, I had to try Hypnose Doll Lashes first.  Hypnose is one of my top two mascara’s because it really gives your lashes a dramatic look, we’re talking camera and runway ready.  The Doll Lashes formula is supposed to give you that bright-eyed, pretty doll look.

The first thing I noticed was the shape of the wand.  Instead of the curved honey comb shape, it’s more of a cone design-narrow at the tip and widening towards the outer corner of your eye.  As I applied the first coat it lifted my lashes creating the same wing effect that you see on the models.  Very nice!  I like how the wand reached to my inner lashes.  After alternating with two coats (for day that’s enough) I was impressed with the results.

I love a thick luxurious mascara, and I felt that Doll lashes delivered that, while separating my lashes.  Now here’s the catch, since the wand reached my inner lashes, I found it slightly clumpy.  So I made sure to be thorough as I wiggled the brush through my lashes.  Is Hypnose Doll Lashes worth the $25 investment. Absolutely!  While there are some mass market brands that lift and separate, the design of the brush puts Doll ahead, not to mention that it goes on heavier than those drug-store brands.

Lancome also has some new skincare products.   Visionnaire is Lancome’s new skincare formula that helps reduce signs of aging, hyperpigmentation, and wrinkles.  Bright Expert is a new product aimed at reducing hyperpigmentation specifically and Lancome says you’ll begin seeing results within four weeks.

Now the plus is that Lancome has a gift promotion beginning 9/13 where you receive a free gift when you make a purchase of $39 or more.  That means when you invest in let’s say Visionnaire ($86) or Bright Expert ($65) you’ll get to choose from 3 face and eye creams, three eye-color palettes, lip color or pencils.  That’s a deal.

If I hadn’t  just started another product for hyperpigmentation, I’d give it a try.  But check back with me, because I’ll definitely provide an update on these hyperpigmentation products based on my personal experience.
