My Diana Ross Moment!

Diana Ross, "I'm Coming Out"

This weekend I had the experience of a lifetime.  I had the joy of seeing Diana Ross perform live.  The legendary songstress performed at the Gaylord National Hotel just outside of D.C.  Let me tell you, Ms. Ross is still The Boss!  The show began with her hit, I’m Coming Out.  Her voice was as beautiful as her presence was glamorous.  I’m beaming just thinking about it.  (More Pics Below)

The big curls, the red gown, the music, and the crowd interaction- I will never forget it. And while I don’t own a red gown, Ms. Ross has definitely renewed my interest in the color.  I think I’ll have to break out the Ruby Sisters-Ruby Woo by MAC and a new lipstick love, Ruby Slipper, by CoverGirl.  Yes, I’ll be rocking a red lip for the next few days.

OK…very jealous of you right now! I grew up listening to Ms. Ross and I would love to see her perform live. I get annoyed when so much fuss is made out of some of our current celebs who sing a few riffs and suddenly they achieve “Diva” status. No offense to them if they are talented, but their stars rise so quickly compared to the years and years of work their foremothers put in. Because before there was Mariah, and Mary J, there was Diana and Aretha!! My favorite Diana Ross song is “Touch Me in the Morning.” It always sends chills!
