Last night I was so excited to see Charlie’s Angels with a curly girl kicking into action, looking glam and getting the guy! It doesn’t happen often. I was led to embrace my natural curls about 4 years ago, but I’m not a natural hair zealot. I don’t try to convert anyone’s style.
Still, I couldn’t help but feel a little giddy watching those curls bounce when Kate (Annie Lionzeh) was incognito as a photographer, saving the day, or ending a long one in that cute canary-print dress. Actually, I like the style of all three characters. Executive producer, Drew Barrymore has a hit with Charlie’s Angels.

Stella McCartney’s Falabella bags caught my attention on Fashion’s Night Out. Actually I fell in love. They are soft to the touch, but the chain detailing adds a little edginess. I had to snap this photo. They are so nice. The only thing is, they range from $995-$1435. Gasp!! We’re talking premium fabulousness. Just take a look. … (Read More)

Harlem’s Fashion Row topped off fashion week last Friday evening with the 4th annual fashion show at Rose Hall in Lincoln Center! The event showcases the collections of burgeoning designers-Onyenauchea Nwabuzor, Kellia Rogers, Joseph Bethune, and Jakia Handy. They did not disappoint. But before the models hit the runway, the crowd got a chance to hear from some of the fashion legends and culturalist who were present. Audrey Smaltz, Bethann Hardison, June Ambrose, Tyson Beckford, Emil Wilbekin, Michaela Davis, Donna Williams of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and Harlem’s Fashion Row founder, Brandice Henderson took to the stage.
One of the more touching moments came from celebrity stylist, June Ambrose, who was honored at the event. During her acceptance Ambrose spoke about feeling, “full, honored, and…blessed.” The stylist went on to explain that she also felt “responsible” for those who would come into the world of fashion after her. Model Tyson Beckford was also honored.
This was a fashionable and lovely evening. The collections were bold, bright, and edgy. Already I’m looking forward to Spring. For more coverage of the HFR event and to learn about the designers, visit CentricTV.com. More video and pics from the event, below.
For decades Bali has consistently been a source of support-literally. As a brand Bali has created intimate designs that have allowed generations of women to carry themselves with confidence and style. This month they are taking it a step further. Bali has launched the Live Beautifully Daily campaign as a movement to help women actually live beautifully daily , by embracing how they look and feel. In conjunction withe the Living Beautifully Daily (LBD) campaign, Bali has partnered with the Breast Cancer Research Fund (BCRF) to help women with breast cancer live beautifully daily, too.
To kick off the campaign, this month Bali will match donations made to the Breast Cancer Research Fund by Facebook fans, up to $25,000. Visit their Facebook page for more details. This is really huge. Confidence, Style and self-acceptance can be tricky even when you’re in great health. Encouraging those who are recovering from or living with cancer, to live beautifully daily is inspiring.
Classic Chanel gets cute and clever with the Shade Parade of nail color. Okay, this is downright adorable. After Lanvin’s DWTSH (Dancing With The Design House) video last week I suspected that a lot of houses might venture off the catwalk to something more creative. However, I didn’t expect this from Chanel. This will put a smile on your face! Link to video, here.
