I love to share new music. Leigh Jones has been in my CD player since last year, but just in case you hadn’t heard of her, let me introduce you. The title of her debut CD, Music In My Soul, is a welcome reprieve from what’s in rotation on your radio. When she sings, you can tell she is feeling every word and every harmony. For those of you who are in love, she begins with a remake of Debarge’s, All This Love, then moves on to Can’t Get Enough. For those of you who have changed the locks, there’s Sick Of Fools, I’m Leavin’ You, and Goodbye. That is what I call a well-balanced album. A little something for everybody.
Now I must warn you that this is grown folks music. There aren’t any guest appearances by anybody named “Lil” anything. There aren’t any remixes and no one is doing back flips in the video. If that’s what you need, this post ends here. For the rest of you, click below to listen. Real music is making a comeback.
