The release of Disney’s new animated feature, The Frog Princess is just around the corner. This is the first Disney film to feature an African American princess (as if you didn’t know). Princess Tiana is voiced by the talented Broadway and film actress Anika Noni Rose. Disney has partnered with one of our beauty favorites–Carol’s Daughter–to bring style and smiles to your little princess. This beauty collection includes Shampoo, Conditioner, Hair Detangler and Bubble Bath, each with a unique image of Princess Tiana and other characters from the movie. Say it with me, ladies: Adorable! The Magical Beauty Collection is available in limited quantities. You must sign up by October 1, on the Carol’s Daughter website to be notified of when the collection will become available. Something tells me you shouldn’t procrastinate on this one.
I loved all the Disney movies as a child. In fact, it was when I saw the evil stepmother’s makeup in Snow White, that I was fascinated by her brows and lipstick and I didn’t have the words for it then, but I’m pretty sure I was thinking something real close to “Fierce”. I had never seen an animated character look like that. How did it go, “Mirror, Mirror on the wall, who’s the flyest of them all?” Little did I know that character was based on movie starlets that I was too young to know by name. So when I saw the Carol’s Daughter Collection with Princess Tiana, I couldn’t help but wish this had been around when I was a kid (instead of that dreaded Mr. Bubble). So I began to make a list of children I could purchase this set for. Then I remembered there is a six year old in me that still lives.
