I have been obsessing over makeup in shades of purple. Last fall the trend was deep purples and serious violets. This season I find myself seeking that curious shade of purple that is reminiscent of kiddie breakfast cereal. Sweet, whimsical, and deliciously fun! The eyes have it! NARS delivers with Daphne, an electric grape shadow featured in the October issue of Elle magazine. Don’t be afraid to experiment with a bright color in the fall. Usually we tend to go with warmer colors like wine and burgundy, but a cool color in a bright shade is a nice way to liven up your look.
Purple kisses! Dior Addict Ultra Gloss-982 is a bit of a mystery to me. I know what you’re thinking, this isn’t grape. Not in the picture, but on the lips its definitely a plum-grape hybrid. Meanwhile Borghese doesn’t disappoint with B Gloss Chianti 04!
Tip! Take a few shades of lipstick or gloss that you like and mix them to create your signature lip color.
Violet touch! Chanel always delivers with nail lacquers. This season they range from bold, rich colors like the limited edition Strong and Vendetta 483 to cashmere soft with Paradoxal 509.
