There’s a thin line between love and hate. That statement holds true for love and sunscreen. If you want healthy, beautiful skin you have to protect it. But trying to find a sunscreen that doesn’t sabotage your makeup can be a daunting task. After searching high and low, I finally found “the one”: SkinCeuticals Sheer Physical UV Defense SPF 50 ($30).
The formula is lightweight, oil-free, non-irritating and best of all-it vanishes. Once you rub it in, it’s like it was never there. I’m talking zero residue, no film, no shine, and it completely absorbed into my skin with a matte finish. This is love. There is a tinted formula, which worked very well on my skin, but I opted for the transparent just to be certain it didn’t alter the undertone of my foundation.
Another reason I opted for SkinCeuticals over other brands is that they specialize in skin care. Remember, the skin on your face is more delicate than the rest of your body. So unlike some brands that specialize only in sun protection, I feel comfortable that SkinCeuticals Sheer Physical Defense won’t have an adverse affect on my complexion. So far, so good.
