I’ll be the first to admit that ever since embracing my natural curls, I’ve been a one-hit wonder! That is, I try new products, but not new styles. I’ve never done a twist out, a lock, a pompadour, or even a puff! So I’m always intrigued when I see other women with their hair in various stages of curls or twists. Whether it’s big curls or a T.W.A. (teeny weeny afro) I can’t help but admire. So I snapped a few pics of a few Blogalicious ’11 attendees who were representing for the curly crew.
Nefertite of Flavor Unit has the cutest tiny coils, which immediately caught my attention. But now, I wish I’d asked her what shade of lipstick she was wearing. Isn’t that hot?!
When I first met LaWanda at Blogalicious three years ago, I had long abandoned relaxer, but had yet to wear (or even see) what my natural curls looked like. I was flat ironing my hair regularly. As soon as I saw her, I knew that’s what I wanted my hair to be when it grew out. That was October. By January, I was officially a curly girl. Check out her site, LA Beauty Beat!
I love her site, and now that we met I like her style. Erika of Blulabel Bungalow keeps it nice & curly!
Coily Locks! Author, Jacqueline J. Holness had quite a few admirers with this ‘do. I had to stand in line to get a shot!
I had to get a snapshot of this style coming and going. Blogger -in-the-making, Nicole Murray adds a bit of flair with a flower. Lovely!
These two health divas were a naturally dynamic duo!
I met Ananda at the very first Blogalicious conference in Atlanta and she’s been inspiring me (and others) without letup. A departure from her signature upsweep, she lets her locs flow!
The ladies of Media Mingle hosted a brand/blogger mixer and managed to look fabulous all the while.
I had quite a few “Let’s talk about hair” moments at Blogalicious ’11. With this attendee, I got the 411 on the twist out and I just might try it.
