The best part of a workout is the end.  In an effort to increase my strength, endurance, flexibility I signed up for bootcamp.  5:30 a.m. is tough enough, but the workout that follows is not for the faint of heart.  The soreness (especially in the beginning) is brutal.  I could barely walk or lift my arms.  Thankfully, I found an answer to my problem.  If you really want to workout without feeling stiff, sore and aged afterwards try this.

Tonic Water with Quinine!  Tonic water with quinine is used to make mixed drinks.  But it’s actually acts as a muscle relaxant and has anti-inflammatory properties.  Drink a glass or take a few sips straight from the bottle.Your  taste buds will curse you, but within minutes you’ll notice that you can move freely.  You can stretch again, walk again, you could even work out again.

Now, there are some warnings that come with drinking tonic water with quinine, so don’t make it your beverage of choice and if you have medical concerns talk to a doctor first.

Arnica Remedy Oil.  If you prefer a good rubdown, Arnica Remedy Oil is a natural herb-based oil that helps alleviate pain from injuries, bruises or swelling.  You can use it as part of a massage, or try adding a cup of it to your bathwater to relax those sore muscles.  You can order it online, from Amazon (prices vary).

Using both of these products helped me get ready for the next bootcamp session.  Do you have any workout secrets?  Do share! And if you try these, share your experience.
