Vanessa Williams has returned with a new CD, The Real Thing. This is definitely for the undeniably grown crowd and I am loving it. Her vocals are still smooth and there’s something about Vanessa Williams that just makes you want to upgrade without her suggestion. And she doesn’t have to tell you she’s a Diva for you to get the point. Most of the songs, like the title track, have a latin flavor while others such as Loving You have a big band sound. My favorites are Breathless, The Real Thing and Close to You. Listening to this CD, makes me want to watch Dance With Me all over again. By the way, what ever happened to Chayanne? Remember him and Vanessa in that last dancing scene, whew. I need to add him to my google list.
