Have you heard the latest? The in-crowd is out! I’m talking three strikes. If you’ve been putting your dreams and life on hold because you were afraid of what the in-crowd (co-workers, friends, neighbors, or family) would say or think, it’s time to give them the slip.  Move on!

Maybe you wanted to change the way you eat, but you were afraid of how your family would react to your vegetarian lifestyle.  Or you wanted to take a dance class, but your friends laughed, “you must think you’re 21.”  Perhaps you’ve wanted to travel solo, but your family asks, “what kind of woman travels alone?”

So you’ve been going through the motions, living out their fears and insecurities instead of living the life you really want. It’s also possible that the voice of negativity is your own, “You can’t do that.  Who do you think you are?”  Push the mute button.  Before another day turns into another year, start doing the things that you’ve always wanted to do!  Create a new path and don’t be afraid to walk it.

If you’re not sure what you want to do, now is the time to figure it out. Think about the things that interest you and why. Break your routine! Look at a new channel, visit a new restaurant, download a new book and pay attention to the things that spark your interest or arouse your curiosity.  It’s never too late.  Be the person you are.  Live the life you want.  Move fearlessly forward!
