Move Over, Metal!

When it comes to accessories, I tend to stick with the tried and true: metal jewelry, beads, handbags, leather of course, and the occasional scarf.  But this summer I fell in love with a wooden clutch, ($50) and I have to say, it has seriously got me rethinking accessories.  How often do we accessorize with wood, bracelets being the exception of course?  I found this little clutch at French Connection, but the trend doesn’t stop there.

Upscale magazine featured a Kamagong wood ring($100), in their fall fashion spread.  I had already decided not to pack my clutch away with my summer items and this ring, was a surprising confirmation.  I’ll keep my eyes open for other wooden pieces this fall.  What do you think, are wood accessories a go or a no?
